If you have ever wondered how to make your audio react to beat with Techsmith Camtasia Studio then you are at the right place. In this post, we will guide you through step by step process on how to make a stunning audio visualizer react to beats using Camtasia Studio. So headphones on volume up and let's get started!
Downloading the essential tools:
Before proceeding we need to download two free essential tools for this to work: the Rainmeter and the Circular Spectrum Visualizer. You can download it simply by clicking the big blue download button at the bottom of the post.
Once you have downloaded the rainmeter and the spectrum visualizer, it's time to install it. Start by installing the rainmeter First, make sure to run the rainmeter at least once after installing it to activate it. Then proceed to install the audio visualizer.
Green Screen
After installing the visualizers, it's time to set up the green screen. Change the background of your desktop with a solid green color. Then get rid of all the icons on the desktop you can do that by simply right-clicking on the desktop then 'view' then unchecked ' show desktop icons'. this is gonna hide all the icons on your desktop. What we are actually doing here is creating and clean space for our visualizer. Once we are all set now we can proceed with the next step.
Adjusting Visualizer
Open up Rainmeter and select the Circular Spectrum visualizer from the available options. Customize and adjust it to your liking and position it on your desktop.
Once you're happy with the setup and adjustments, play your chosen audio track and watch as the visualizer reacts in real time to the beat. It is recommended to play your audio track at a bit louder sound that will make the visualizer react more accurately touching all the frequencies of the track.
Recording Visualizer
Once you have placed the visualizer in the place and made the necessary adjustments now play the beat and start recording the screen with camtasia screen recorder. Make sure you hide the audio player in the corner somewhere or minimize it to the taskbar or system tray. while recording the screen we do not want anything else except the visualizer. If you want you can even hide the taskbar. In Windows 11 you can easily do that by simply right-clicking on the taskbar and selecting taskbar setting then the taskbar setting window will load up there scroll down a bit till you find 'taskbar behaviour' from there check 'automatically hide taskbar'. This will auto-hide the taskbar.
Editing the Audio Spectrum
Now comes the fun part. This is where you gonna give life and soul to your audio react to the video. Import the recorded footage into Camtasia Studio and align it with your audio track.
Now remove the green color from the recorded video. This will make sure you have a clean transparent visualizer to work with. To remove the green color simply go to 'more' then 'visual effect' from there select 'remove color' then just drag and drop over your green screen visualizer in the timeline. After that simply select the color picker tool and select the green color in the main screen. This will instantly remove the green color from your video leaving you with a clean audio visualizer.
From here, you have the endless possibilities. Add text overlays, experiment with different effects, change background, etc and create the best audio visualizer ever using Camtasia studio.
And there you have it a simple and very easy step by step guide how to make audio react to beat or audio visualizer audio spectrum in Camtasia Studio. I hope you found this post helpful and inspiring. Remember, the key to creating stunning visualizers is experiment so don't be afraid to add new effects and style.
