What Is Slate Digital Fresh Air?

Fresh Air is a dynamic high-frequency processor from Slate Digital. It is made to enhance the upper part of your audio without requiring you to build a detailed EQ curve yourself.


Slate Digital describes the plugin as being inspired by vintage exciter circuits and dynamic processing. In practice, it is incredibly easy to use: turn up the controls until the sound has the amount of presence and brightness you want, then back them off if things start getting too harsh.


This makes it particularly handy when a vocal sounds a little dull, a drum track needs more sparkle, or a mix simply needs some extra openness.
